I grew up in a town called Tyler, Texas commonly known as “ The Rose City”. While still in the midst of winter here in the mountains my family back home was sending videos of the most abundant Dave Austin roses in there lush spring gardens. This painting sprang from the desire to reconnect with that familiar part of childhood and usher in spring to a still snowy valley.
